What to Expect from your manual handling awareness training

We know our training is non-standard, so to help you prepare here’s an outline of what to expect!

What you’ll learn…

Why manual handling legislation exists and how it keeps you safe.

What your duties are as an employer or employee.

How to risk assess manual handling operations and then reduce risk where needed.

How the main joints in the body function and how correct muscle engagement protects them.

How to maintain physical health at work for a sustainable, pain-free career!

What to expect

So there are no surprises, here are the main differences you can expect from your training day.

You’ll fill out a screening questionnaire at the beginning of the day so we can tailor your practical session according to your needs.

You’ll want to wear comfortable clothing for the afternoon practical session.

This course is grounded in biomechanics and movement coaching - all movement questions are welcome!

Some practical exercises may involve time on the ground or the use of props.

You decide how much you wish to participate in the practical session, but the more you do the more you will get out of it!
